Before I had any tattoos, I always thought my first one would be chinese writing on my leg. I always bottled it in case the tattoist got it wrong and I ended up with egg foo yung on my leg!
It is now time to get that ink; unfortunately, leg space is now occupied so I just need to determine where and then get that appointment made.
Italian is such a cool language or, at least, it is when Italians speak it! I have a love of languages but never really considered Italian. Since I have made a couple of trips there and made the effort to use the odd phrase, it feels like a good choice. Spanish was the other option but Spaniards speak so fast it's impossible to understand what they area saying most of the time!
Buona fortuna a me!!
It has been a long while since I used Smookesie's (my garden bar) for entertainment. The weather has been awful for ages and the bar has been used to store things out of harm's way.
Another task on my 60 list is to de-clutter and much of the stuff being stored doesn't really need to be in my life.
So once that is done, I can fire up the log burner, whip the cover off the TV and settle down for whatever Netflix or Prime are offering at the time
There are so many social media users these days that prioritise quantity over quality, which is fine if you have an online business or are an influencer. But for the everyday users, where is the value in having 2000+ friends. Is popularity really that important?
I have 500 or so friends, but there are very few that I have never met in the flesh. There are a fair few others whose path I have crossed but have not seen for many years.
Social media should lead to more social interaction. So I have reached out to one each of these to see how that goes. The never seen is still at the provisional stage but with a commitment. The seldom seen has firm plans which will materialise in the early Spring.
Two for the price of one here so one could say I've cheated a little bit. But it's my list and I'll play it out however I like!!
Basically translated, ceilidh means social visit. What it really means is a right good session of music, drinking and dancing. What better place to wear a kilt?
I have worn a kilt once before and it honestly felt so good that it had to go on the list to do again!
The port in question is Kopke 1965 Colheita from The Whisky Exchange. I have to be honest and say that port wasn't my first choice but wines, champagnes and whiskys run into £000s!!
First snort will be shared with a good friend in March and then again to toast my 60th birthday.
